In Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus gave His disciples what we call the Great Commission: “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
To fulfill this far-reaching call, some travel to the field, some provide the financial support to send others out, and still others intercede for the mission.
Whenever I speak with people about serving God outside the church walls, there’s often concern about money, time, lack of talent, or being unprepared for the challenge. The reality is that God prepares, equips, and financially provides for those He calls into the field. I believe many people don’t hear the call, because they’ve built up a plethora of reasons not to get involved.
We have opportunities locally, stateside, and internationally where you can serve Him. I would like to challenge you to purposefully and prayerfully consider your involvement with a short-term mission trip or a local outreach. I gladly welcome the opportunity to discuss these options with you.
In His Service,
Director Missions & Finance
