Providing Care for the Body

Jesus was a healer, and so providing medical care in the name of Christ makes perfect sense.  In fact, this is one of the most important and most effective expressions of God’s love that we can find.

Community Faith Nurses
How Can We Help You?

Our Community Faith Nurses offer comfort in the way of visits, access to medical resources, and sometimes with medical supplies.  Periodically, they also offer diabetes support, CPR training, and flu shots.

Let your nurses know of your need by leaving a message with the church receptionist.

Do you want to help others? If you’re an RN with a desire to serve God through Community Faith Nursing, call Jane Hixon at 547-0055 for more information.

Blood Drives at KPC
Would you like to help save a life?

KPC sponsors two Red Cross blood drives each year.  Volunteers are needed to handle registration at the events, for help in promotions, and—of course—to donate blood.

For more information contact Doreen Joyce at 757-340-0781.

Medical Missions
Healing bodies; touching hearts

Did you know you can change someone’s view of the world by serving them on a medical mission?  Imagine what a huge impact we could have if Christians strategically networked to respond to coming disasters.

OSL Thailand trip

The goal of medical missions at KPC has expanded to include local medical health professionals in medical missions and disaster relief to further the spread of the Gospel.

Medical missions can be used to penetrate closed communities.  When participating in a medical mission in Indonesia, one team member was told, “So, you’re really not of Satan after all!”  This woman in need explained that they had been taught from early childhood that American Christians were of Satan.  Yet in a time of disaster, these American Christians were helping her people, and her whole worldview changed.
