What is Electronic Giving?
It is an electronic tithing/offering program for our church members and regular attenders who are given the opportunity to have their gift conveniently transferred from their checking or savings account directly into the church’s bank account on a regular basis.
Since we will know more about our revenue stream with this program, your tithes and offerings will go further than ever in allowing KPC to plan future projects with greater efficiency. As a program participant, you are still free to make additional gifts by check or cash at any time. You may continue to place a tithe/offering envelope in the weekly collection plate in addition to your electronic giving if you so choose.
Why checking/savings account transfers?
We believe that the Lord blesses those who give with a cheerful heart. We also believe that giving is an important part of a Christian’s life.
Today, people are willing to have money transferred directly from their bank accounts to pay bills, mortgages, memberships, and more. It’s convenient and ensures that a payment won’t be inadvertently skipped. For the same reasons, the Electronic Giving Program here at KPC benefits those who want to sow money into the church faithfully and consistently.
Will it cost me anything?
No, the church will cover the monthly service and transaction fees.
How often will I be able to give electronically?
Accounts are debited on the 5th and/or 20th of each month. If the 5th and/or 20th fall on a weekend or holiday, the debit will occur on the next business day. Accounts can be debited monthly or semi-monthly.
Can I change the amount of my tithe or offering transfer?
Yes, just call the church at 757-495-1913 and ask for the accounting office. Additional gifts may be placed in the offering plates at services or directed to the church accounting office.
What are the benefits?
1. Members and regular attenders who work on weekends, go away on vacation, are no longer able to physically attend, etc., can stay financially connected to the church and continue to sow into ministry here at KPC.
2. Members and regular attenders won’t omit giving by mistake.
3. Transfer giving makes it easier to manage church budgets because the church leadership can rely on guaranteed income every month.
