Meet us on the KPC field, 6-9 PM every third Wednesday this summer for some themed summer fun. We’ll supply the grill, food tables, and corn-hole. You bring meat to grill for your family and a side to share. And don’t forget the lawn chairs, blankets, and bug spray! Stay for the bonfire if you’d like… Did somebody say “s’mores?”

July 19 – “Wet and Wild” – Wear your swim suit and bring a towel. We will have a water balloon fight, kiddie pools for the wee ones, and slip and slides.

August 16 – Service Night – We will gather rain or shine for a community service night to help with “Tools for School” by sorting and filling backpacks with school supplies for the outreach at Geneva.  We will have a movie night ~ bring blankets and chairs for the lawn or floor of the fellowship hall (in case of rain.) We’ve got the popcorn and drinks!

Gather your towels, sunscreen, beach toys, and cooler, pack up the kids, and meet us at 10AM at First Landing State Park in Virginia Beach on Thursday June 29, Thursday July 27, & Thursday August 24. Parking is $5, so carpool with a friend! Not into the beach? Don’t forget those walking trails…

Come for as long as you’d like and to as many as you can!

* If it is raining, we will NOT meet.

Children’s Ministry at KPC is a vital part of our vision and we welcome children of all ages from infants to teens. We delight in the spiritual growth of our kids and purpose to extend the love of Jesus in and through each of them with Biblical teaching, parents and devoted volunteers, and a safe and secure environment.

Our heart – why we do what we do – is to introduce and cultivate the love of Christ and compassion for others in each and every child. With the Bible as our foundation, children experience, grow, and learn to serve alongside teachers, peers, family members, and volunteers through games, music, Biblical stories, collaborative play, and student leadership.

We strive to partner with parents and our family of volunteers to meet the needs of each child. It is paramount to our program that families feel involved, loved, and understood.

Likewise, we are highly intentional about your child’s safety while you are worshiping at KPC. That’s why we use the KID-CHECK program. Every child (infant to 5th grade) is checked-in via computer stations in the lobby prior to the service. The child receives a family alphanumeric ID on a sticker that is worn by the child during service. Parents receive a matching sticker. If at any time during the service the child needs their parent/guardian, we are able to easily access you via an electronic alert that posts your child’s ID on the bottom corner of the screen in the sanctuary. This ID also ensures that your child is leaving with his or her proper guardian at pick-up after the service.

We look forward to welcoming you and your family to KPC!

Please feel free to contact us with comments, questions, and/ or concerns about our ministry, including ways you might like to serve, at sotok@kpc.org. We’re happy to hear from you and glad to help.
